Father David Stock
Priest-in-Charge

The Episcopal Church
Welcomes You
Our Presiding Bishop
28th Presiding Bishop & Primate
The Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe was elected presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church in June 2024 and took office on Nov. 1 for a nine-year term. In this role, he serves as the church’s chief pastor and CEO. Known for his expertise in organizational learning and adaptive change, Rowe is committed to strengthening support for local ministry and mission.
He was ordained bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania in 2007 after serving as rector of St. John’s in Franklin, Pennsylvania, for seven years. From 2014 to 2018, he served as bishop provisional of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem, and from 2019 to 2024, he led a partnership between the Episcopal Dioceses of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York.
Rowe holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Grove City College, a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in organizational learning and leadership from Gannon University. He has served as a leader of many civic and churchwide organizations and governance bodies, and as parliamentarian for the House of Bishops.
Priest-in-Charge

The Rev. David Stock was called to be Priest-in-Charge of St. Andrew's beginning in December 2023. Here is his first message to the parish:
I was born and raised in Logan, Utah, and I attended Utah State University, where I studied engineering and mathematics before majoring in psychology. After college, I worked as a substance abuse counselor for eight years, then went off to seminary at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, in 1997. I was ordained as a priest, was engaged to and married the Rev. Emily Schnabl, all in the year 2001. Emily was also ordained a priest in that same year. We just celebrated 22 years of marriage on November 10, 2023. We don’t have children, but we are the proud parents of two cats, our second pair since we were married.
I have served parishes in St. Louis and Oklahoma City before moving to Nebraska in 2020, when "Mother Emily" was called to be Rector of St. Martha's in Papiilion. I have served as Rector of St. David’s, Lincoln, since January 2021.
I enjoy playing chess, running and reading. I am both an extroverted “people person,” and I have a pretty strong contemplative, monastic streak as well. I am a Benedictine Oblate with Incarnation Monastery in Omaha (aka The Benedictine Way), and I frequent Trappist monasteries when I go on retreat.
I am thrilled to begin serving St. Andrew’s alongside St. David’s of Lincoln! I truly believe that, not only will this open the door to the possibility for the two churches to partner together in ministry in a new way, it will mostly be such a blessing to get to know the people, customs and ministries of St. Andrew’s, so that I might effectively serve as your priest and pastor, and that we might grow together to love and serve Christ locally, where we are.
Blessings to All!
Fr. David+
